PSDN supports company's "Open Infrastructure" initiative.

As part of its "Open Infrastructure" strategic initiative, Panasonic Security Systems kicked off its newly created Panasonic Solution Developer Network (PSDN) this year at ASIS.  Through PSDN, program members, typically experts in their own fields, will be able to obtain open interface protocols, software tools, development tools, and technical information to efficiently integrate Panasonic's leading line of IP and analog video surveillance cameras, video recorders and systems components.

"PSDN is part of Panasonic's "Open Infrastructure" initiative, which is an integral component of our business plan to provide comprehensive systems solutions employing core Panasonic video surveillance technologies and products," said Mike Maddox, System Sales Engineer and PSDN Program Manager for Panasonic Security Systems.

"Our intent in creating PSDN is to foster and encourage the development of interoperable solutions through easy access to development tools and technical information." continued Mr. Maddox.

Initial members in the Panasonic Solution Developer Network include AirVisual, a leader in innovative mobile video and remote access solutions; Milestone, the leading global provider of IP video surveillance management software; and S2 Security, an innovator in the development of network-based integrated physical security systems.

"We hope to continue to generate mutually beneficial relationships between Panasonic and leading manufacturers, software developers and solution providers with PSDN." said Maddox.
