Panasonic wins ‘CCTV Camera Equipment of the Year 2010’ award at IFSEC 2010
The WV-CP500 static camera combines Super Dynamic 5 with Adaptive Black Stretch technology
Panasonic have for a long time provided accolade winning security solutions and with 2010's IFSEC now complete they have come home with another decoration to add to the collection, this time it's for the most prestigious annual CCTV product award from the industry's equivalent of the Oscars, the ‘IFSEC Security Industry Awards' where the company picked up the title of ‘CCTV Camera Equipment of the Year 2010.'

The WV-CP500 static camera that combines Super Dynamic 5 with Adaptive Black Stretch technology added yet more metalwork to PSNE's highly decorated awards cabinet with the IFSEC award, plus it was recognised in June 2010's Benchmark Magazine as ‘outstanding' and scored an overall rating of 90%, heads and shoulders ahead of the rest in a group test of wide dynamic range cameras from a total of seven leading manufacturers. What's more, CP500 also became a nominee for PSI Premier Awards, CCTV ‘Product of the Year' category in PSI Magazine awards, is there a static camera out there that can challenge this champion?

After thwarting lesser cameras WV-CP500's Country Marketing Manager, Steve Gerrard, said: "The WV-CP500 is a classic model in a dynasty of solidly featured and high performing WDR cameras produced by PSNE. CP500's six hundred and fifty colour TV lines and intelligent video motion detection give this model a real edge over lesser cameras because it's FOD (Foreign Object Detection) capabilities enable it to detect both items left behind and items removed thus bringing more relevant information for faster security deployment on the ground."

It's true; when it comes to being smart the WV-CP500 really is clever. This is highlighted by other intelligent features such as automatic back focus adjustment which moves the position of the sensor in order to receive perfect focus on the target area. The camera features everything else you would expect from a WDR model and does them very well such as; AGC (Auto Gain Control), sens-up, day/night switching, privacy zones, auto white balance, noise reduction and of course wide dynamic range.

So if you are in the market for a winning static camera security solution, why deploy anything other than the truly remarkable WV-CP500?
