Breathe recommended a Panasonic security system for protection against vandalism and IP connectivity
Panasonic cameras were connected to a WJ-NV200 PC-less 16 channel NDR via IP
Specialising in business conference and event solutions, Henley-In-Arden based Breathe have recently ventured into designing, installing and maintaining cutting edge, yet simplistic home AV solutions using only the very best of technology.

Known for their ingenious approach, Breathe were selected to realise a private client’s nearly-impossible ambition: to create a professional-quality high-definition visual experience in an indoor pool enclosure that would allow the client to swim whilst indulging in high-definition content; a project that would certainly set the bar high in terms of home AV design innovation.

The first dilemma Breathe faced was deciding between a projector and plasma display to feasibly provide optimum viewing in the restrictive humid environment, hazardous for electronic equipment. With deliberation, the Panasonic TH-103PF10 high definition 103” professional plasma display was chosen to provide the ultimate experience due to its bright Full-HD 1080p motion-image resolution that offers outstandingly vibrant and life-size picture quality.

The next challenge was to work out how one of the largest displays in the world would be installed in such incongruent conditions. Breathe identified that the solution was to create an anti-reflective glass window between the pool enclosure and adjoining outhouse for the plasma to look through; however this posed further problems that needed to be solved. The adjoining wall rendered the standard wall mounting bracket unusable, as the protruding edge designed for independent stability would situate the display too far away from the window and provide an inadequate viewing angle. To overcome this, Breathe partnered with engineering experts Unicol who designed and built a custom lifting bracket that hoisted the 250kg screen securely into its optimal position. Furthermore the plasma had to be encased in a heated and circulated environment to prevent the screen from misting.

Panasonic installed a security
system which consisted of
six WV-SW355 fixed dome
cameras and one WV-SW316
static network camera

Highly satisfied with the finished result and pleased with the quality of the 103” display, the client extended the installation with a full-HD 3D TH-103VX200 103” Professional Plasma Display situated in the lounge area for the ultimate home cinema experience that combines Frame Sequential and Ultra-High-Speed Drive Technology with a newly-developed professional quality engine to achieve large, crisp and clear 3D images with exceptionally realistic colour and depth.

When asked to provide a security solution, Breathe again recommended Panasonic and installed a Panasonic security system consisting of six WV-SW355 fixed dome cameras and one WV-SW316 static network camera, both of which feature high sensitivity HD quality images with 128x dynamic range for facial clarity, IP66 rated housing for protection against vandalism, and IP connectivity. The cameras are connected to a Panasonic WJ-NV200 PC-less 16 channel NDR via IP which makes set-up, recording, and control of the cameras effortless. The cameras are able to be controlled via mouse on both the 103” Professional Plasma Displays and additionally by any compatible touch-screen device or web browser. Not only does this create a strong sense of security, Breathe’s director, Neil Cusdin describes the solution as a ‘home environment in harmony’.
