Panasonic has introduced a software extension which enhances the functionality of its existing WV-ASM200 security management system.

The Panasonic visibility enhancement software (WV-ASE205) uses three technologies to improve surveillance in poor light, harsh weather and low illumination, to add further value to a user’s surveillance system.

Spatial tonal correction adjusts brightness and contrast for each target area, meaning images previously lost in shadow are visible. Snow and rainfall noise reduction helps filter snow or rain from the image, while multi-frame synthesis noise reduction aligns multiple frames to create a single clear image.

The WV-ASE205 software additionally allows customisation, meaning users can select the parameters required, depending on the local environment and weather conditions.

Gerard Figols, Panasonic Security Product Marketing Manager, said, “The new extension software ensures an accurate image recording that offers greater clarity. It is a cost effective method of improving an existing security system, ensuring you don’t miss a thing.”
