As part of Panasonic’s total security system, access control, intruder alarm and fire detection devices will feature on stand at IFSEC 2015
Panasonic launched ‘True 4K’ WV-SFV781L dome camera and will expand portfolio with NVR and video wall screens

Panasonic recently launched a dome camera which delivers ‘True 4K’ image quality and, at IFSEC, will expand their 4K portfolio with a 4K Network Video Recorder and 4K video wall screens, providing a True 4K system.

The True 4K camera (WV-SFV781L) can cover a view four times larger than 1080p cameras, and a view nine times larger than 720p cameras. It can also cover two and three times the distance of 1080p and 720p cameras respectively, reducing the overall cost of a surveillance system by as much as half.

True 4K surveillance technology

“We want to provide a working, off the shelf, 4K system, that will reduce overall surveillance costs,” said Sean Taylor, European Head of Marketing and Channel at Panasonic Security Solutions. “We estimate that the cost of switching to True 4K could reduce surveillance costs by as much as 50 per cent, once you take in to account a reduction in installation, cabling, network costs and maintenance.”

“For a variety of organisations, Panasonic’s True 4K surveillance technology will have its place. For instance, on buses or trains, only one 360° 4K powered camera is needed per carriage rather than four to cover each angle. This is significantly less hardware to manage and maintain,” Taylor added.

Demonstrate solutions for a range of applications

As part of Panasonic’s total security system, access control, intruder alarm and fire detection devices will feature on stand this year. Solutions for a range of applications which combine intelligent analytics with surveillance camera technology will demonstrate how organisations can get much more from CCTV systems.

Parcel tracking systems for logistics will be on show along with solutions for Banking, including vandal proof ATM cameras equipped with a 360° fisheye lens and microphone. Transportation and control room solutions will also feature on stand.

Panasonic’s Face Server will show how organisations can accurately profile their customers. The Face Server can be used for marketing purposes, such as changing advertising on digital signage based on the age and gender statistics detected by the surveillance cameras.
