Pelco's Endura IP video surveillance system will support Panasonic's i-Pro network cameras

Panasonic and Pelco announced that Pelco's latest version of the Endura IP video surveillance system (v2.1) will support select Panasonic i-Pro Series network cameras. Pelco was demonstrating Panasonic i-Pro network cameras operating on the Endura v2.1 platform  at ASIS 2009.

According to Mike Maddox, Panasonic Solution Developer Network (PSDN) Program Manager: "Pelco is an important member of our PSDN Program, and this recently established interoperability is a clear example of both companies' commitment to openness, collaboration, and to providing customers with choices and the flexibility they want."

Panasonic i-Pro Series network cameras compatible with Pelco's Endura system include: the WV-NS954, WV-NW964, and WV-NS202A Super Dynamic PTZ Dome Cameras; the WV-NW484S Super Dynamic Vandal Resistant Fixed Dome Camera; the WV-NF302 and WV-NF284 Fixed Dome Cameras; the WV-NP304 Megapixel Box Camera; and the WV-NP244 Box Camera.

Initial support for the Panasonic i-Pro network cameras on the Endura platform will include MPEG-4 support for live video monitoring, recording, playback, and pan-tilt-zoom (PTZ) camera control. Enhancements for additional functionalities, and support for the latest Panasonic H.264 Megapixel i-Pro network cameras (WV-NP502 and WVNW502S) are expected in future releases.

"Our two companies have worked very closely together throughout this development effort. We received great support from Panasonic allowing us to deliver more flexibility and choices to our customers. We are excited about the integration now possible by combining Panasonic i-Pro network cameras with the Endura Enterprise Class Management Systems," said Dave deLisser, Director of Integration at Pelco.
