The BluBØX solution comes pre-engineered with power supply and access control distribution modules
The BluBØX MCLASS enclosure comes in a variety of sizes to accommodate door count and wire management

LifeSafety Power® and BluBØX have partnered to bring the latest, intelligent access control solutions to the security industry through a new unified enclosure release. BluBØX, a leading provider of cloud based physical security solutions, now deploys LifeSafety Power’s MCLASS™ unified power systems specially engineered to house FlexPower® modules alongside Mercury access hardware in one compact, secure design.

Benefits for system integrators

The BluBØX solution comes pre-engineered with power supply and access control distribution modules for a complete, turnkey product specification. It can be configured for two to 16-door access control specifications, with the power supply/battery charger providing two user selectable outputs for 12 or 24 VDC. One input provides continuous power for system use and the second is resettable output power, activated when the fire alarm disconnect is initiated.

The networking capabilities of MCLASS offers system integrators and value-added resellers the ability to increase their recurring monthly revenue by providing proactive, remote monitoring and servicing across the enterprise, such as diagnostic tests of remote battery load testing and power recycle. System integrators can achieve further labour savings with the wall-mount configuration of the BluBØX MCLASS product, which saves the expense of mounting and wiring separate enclosures and AC drops for lock power while reducing wall space with a smaller footprint. A removable back plate mounts power and the Mercury controller, making wiring faster and easier for additional installation savings. For maximum design flexibility, the BluBØX MCLASS enclosure comes in a variety of sizes to accommodate door count and wire management preferences by the integrator.

Security system power management

“The BluBØX and LifeSafety Power partnership brings to the marketplace a world class security product with the first ever ability to manage and control security system power from any device, anywhere at any time,” says Patrick Barry, CEO of BluBØX. “The benefits for system integrators and end users are substantial and we expect our capability to become standard in the market in the years to come.”

“The combination of the integrated BluBØX BluSKY Cloud Solution and intelligent power provides a high-value solution to ensure system health and uptime, as well as greater efficiencies in overall system operations,” says Perry Levine, Sr. VP Business Development of BluBØX.

“The combined strengths and technology innovation of BluBØX and LifeSafety Power brings substantial benefit to the market,” says Larry Ye, President and Chief Executive Officer of LifeSafety Power. “The ability to offer an intelligent, network-capable solution is critical to the longevity of the system and to the profitability of the system integrator’s business.”
