HubWayEX UTP transceiver hub series with improved video transmission efficiency displayed at ISC West 2010
The HubWayEX16 Active UTP transceiver hub allows for the transmission of 16 video cameras over four CAT5 cables

Altronix showcased their next generation of active UTP transceiver hubs at ISC West 2010. The new HubWayEX transceiver hubs feature advanced technology to deliver exceptional video at an amazing price. HubWayEX 16 and 32 port units allow for the transmission of groups of four video signals over each CAT5 cable. A single port unit is also available. TheHubWayEX outperforms the competition with features that include automatic picture and gain control with video polarity compensation, and models that provide integral isolated camera power.

"The new HubWayEX series was designed to meet the growing demand to transmit high quality video over long distances using inexpensive twisted pair CAT5 cable from a centralised location," said Alan Forman, President, Altronix. "Altronix sets a new standard for performance, flexibility, and cost-efficiency with the introduction of the HubWayEX product line - regardless of distance."

The HubWayEX product line includes:

The HubWayEX16 Active UTP transceiver hub allows for the transmission of up to 16 video cameras over four CAT5 cables, while the HubWayEX32 Active UTP transceiver hub provides for the transmission of 32 video cameras over 8 CAT5 cables, and pass through RS422/RS485 data. The units provide picture and gain control, as well as automatic video polarity compensation.

The HubWayEX Active UTP transceiver hubs are 1U EIA 19-inch rack mount units designed to conserve valuable space

The HubWayEX16S Active UTP transceiver hub has all the features of the HubWayEX16 including the flexibility to transmit video signals via a single CAT5 cable from either individual cameras or a group of four cameras.

The HubWayEX1 Active UTP transceiver module facilitates one channel of UTP video and RS422/RS485 data over a single CAT5 or higher structured cable with automatic picture and gain control, and automatic video polarity compensation.

The HubWayEXP UTP power injector provides 16 isolated power ports each selectable for 24 or 28VAC at 1 amp per port with pass-through video and data. The units are designed for installation at the IDF (Intermediate Distribution Frame) or at the MDF (Main Distribution Frame), and integrate with HubWayEX Active UTP Transceiver Hubs.

The HubWayEX16SP offers all the features of the HubWayEX16 with the addition of integral isolated power outputs at 1 amp per port.

The new HubWayEX Active UTP transceiver hubs are 1U EIA 19-inch rack mount units designed to conserve valuable space. Features include coax jumper cables for head-end equipment, cULus listing, offer a lifetime warranty, and are made in the USA.
