In those 20 years, Vimpex has grown from a small UK-based distributor, to a pan-European organisation with subsidiaries in The Netherlands and Sweden and now represents some of the world’s best known brands. Developing successful partnerships with leading suppliers in their field has enabled Vimpex to be profitable in every one of its 20 years in business.

As well as being a major distributor, Vimpex has developed its own research and development facilities and designs and manufactures the Fire-Cryer® Plus family of Voice Sounders, which is currently the most extensive range available on the market today. The company has also designed an extremely attractive and innovative range of EN 54-23 compliant Visual Alarm Devices (VADs) that it will be bringing to market in 2014. Vimpex are acknowledged experts in voice sounder and audible/visual evacuation technology and in addition to its popular Fire-Cryer® Plus family it supplies the Banshee Excel™ sounder range, fire alarm bells, strobe lights, call points, door holders, linear heat detection and water detection systems. The company’s technical rescue portfolio includes hydraulic rescue tools from Ogura and TNT, thermal imaging cameras from ISG, firefighting and rescue helmets from Pacific and a wide range of technical rescue products from Paratech.
