Morse Watchmans’ new KeyBank Touch, introduced recently, delivers technology and security advantages that make accessing, securing and tracking large numbers of keys easier than ever for facilities such as educational, residential and corporate campuses.

KeyBank Touch is designed with a comprehensive menu of innovative and time-saving features including a large, easy to use touch screen; KeyAnywhere to allow the return of any key to any KeyBank cabinet in the system; KeyFind to quickly find a specific key; and an optional easy to use optical fingerprint reader. Accessing keys is also made easier with the larger buttons and an easier to use interface that offers step by step instructions. KeyBank Touch can be custom designed to meet individual requirements and scaled as needs change. The common usage of databases, programming and interoperability with a variety of access control devices extends the system’s ease of use across the enterprise.

“KeyBank Touch addresses issues found in conventional high volume key storage systems by refocusing the technology to a more intelligent and unified solution that enables improved dynamic system control,” said Fernando Pires, VP Sales and Marketing, Morse Watchmans. “With its industry-leading key control system experience and technology expertise, Morse Watchmans continues to deliver essential tools to enrich the security and functionality of key control.”

Advancing its use as an enterprise-wide management tool, KeyBank Touch enables multiple key storage banks to form a single fully integrated system capable of holding hundreds of keys. Control and programming of the system is conveniently managed from a single PC interface and every transaction is automatically recorded. For added efficiency, priority email alerts notify management of alarms and/or other access transactions to help maintain maximum control of access and security issues.

For automotive applications such as car dealerships, rental agencies or motor pools, the time-saving conveniences designed into the KeyBank Touch Auto version can help increase operational efficiency. Keys put into the system can be moved around to various KeyBanks as vehicles are moved and the system will record the location and time so anyone looking for those keys will know where they are currently located.

KeyBank Touch systems also offer a unique feature that is particularly helpful in residential location deployments. “Notes” allows a user to select a pre-programmed note when removing or returning a key and to add any free-form comments to the standard note. For example, if a contractor is permitted to remove a key in order to make a non-scheduled repair, a note could be added at the time of the key removal to indicate the reason, such as “fixing leaky faucet.” Knowing who has accessed keys and why adds to the security and safety of the building’s residents.

The KeyBank Touch is engineered around a new CPU board with a built-in SD card slot, USB connectivity, 10/100 Ethernet and audio output jack. Each system is AC powered and supported by a battery backup power supply.
