Sonitrol of Hawaii, the leading provider of verified electronic security to businesses, schools and homes throughout the Hawaiian Islands, announces the opening of a new central monitoring station located in Honolulu.
The central station is equipped with the SONIP monitoring platform, the latest generation in verified alarm monitoring platforms from Sonitrol that uses specialised client software to meet the monitoring, signal processing and automation needs of the Hawaiian electronic security market.
For Sonitrol of Hawaii customers, during an alarm activation, real-time, digital audio from the protected facility will be transmitted to the new central monitoring station in Honolulu. There, operators on-call 24 hours a day, trained to verify sounds that might indicate an intrusion or break-in event, listen and react to the information being provided. Simultaneously, each monitoring specialist is provided vital customer information through an advanced graphical user interface (GUI) to immediately alert the appropriate contact – and law enforcement, when necessary – of a potential intrusion. The combination of high-quality digital audio and an advanced operator interface enables the operator to provide law enforcement with more precise information about an alarm event prior to arriving on the scene. In addition, all incoming alarm audio files can be easily stored, accessed and transmitted as needed for prosecution of apprehended suspects.
“Joining Sonitrol’s Hawaii branch has been a very rewarding experience. In only two months, I can already recognise the hard work and dedication from all monitoring specialists and employees that is necessary to best serve our customers and protect them, their property and assets,” said Tracy Jones, President for Sonitrol of Hawaii. “By investing in a Hawaiian station, we are now able to provide local monitoring services and expert security to a wide range of clients.”
“Sonitrol’s history over the last 50 years has been rooted in providing local monitoring services that are backed by a close working relationship with local law enforcement and the community,” said Bruce Winner, Director of the Sonitrol Brand for STANLEY Security. “With the advances in communication technology, our industry has gotten away from local monitoring centres and security companies have instead established huge nationwide monitoring centres that monitor hundreds of thousands of accounts. We are excited to see the commitment of Sonitrol of Hawaii in reestablishing a local Sonitrol monitoring centre to better serve their customers in Hawaii.”
