CCTV manufacturer, Mirasys, opens offices in Thailand and Italy
Argenti comes to Mirasys Italy having worked with HP for several years before joining an IP surveillance start-up
Mirasys Ltd, a provider of open platform digital CCTV and video surveillance solutions, announced the opening of its Italian and Thai offices. These two offices open just a year after the launch of Mirasys UK, announced at IFSEC 2009, and demonstrate Mirasys' continued global expansion and corporate success.

Elio Argenti has been appointed as General Manager of the Mirasys office in Milan, Italy, and Noppadol Sukhmol will be leading the Bangkok, Thailand office as its General Manager. Both Argenti and Sukhmol have a deep understanding of their local markets and bring a wealth of insight and expertise to Mirasys.

Argenti comes to Mirasys Italy having worked with HP for several years before joining an IP surveillance start-up. In his role, Argenti will focus initially on building a strong distribution channel for Mirasys which will consist of two arms - distribution partners and system integrators. By focusing on building a portfolio of key channel relationships, Argenti will ensure that Mirasys hardware and software are readily available to end-users across the Italian region.

Argenti is enthusiastic about this challenge stating: "To manage the start-up of the Italian branch for Mirasys - a key player in the CCTV surveillance field - is an exciting proposition. There is great demand for CCTV innovation in the Italian market and I am happy to be a part of it."

The use of CCTV throughout the City of Bangkok offers a tremendous opportunity to help protect critical infrastructure and facilitate law enforcement

Noppadol Sukhmol will continue to build on the success of the City of Bangkok project that started in 2009. Sukhmol played a key part in this project and his focus at the new office will be on system integrators and expanding the Asian customer base. During recent months the City of Bangkok system has proven invaluable in developing a more detailed understanding of events around the City.

Sukhmol explains: "Thailand, in particular, has a clear need for increased surveillance and the use of CCTV throughout the City of Bangkok offers a tremendous opportunity to help protect critical infrastructure and facilitate law enforcement. The success of our initial project offers support for the value of CCTV in this region - not only for the public sector, but also for large enterprises, financial institutions and retail chains."

Jukka Riivari, Chief Executive of Mirasys stated: "We are very pleased to be in a position to continue global expansion and are looking forward to very successful operations in Italy and Thailand. Argenti and Sukhmol bring immense experience and market understanding to these new offices and we are thrilled to have them on board."
