Mirasys announces the appointment of Iain Cameron as Managing Director of its UK operations
Mirasys, one of the world's leading providers of open platform digital CCTV and video surveillance solutions, announces the appointment of Iain Cameron as managing director of its UK operations. Cameron has been integral to the advancement of Mirasys in the UK and Ireland over the past two years as a regional sales agent; this new appointment marks the beginning of a new phase of growth for Mirasys.

Previously Cameron was the managing director of Agent IP, providing the sales force and technical support behind the introduction of megapixel cameras for Arecont Vision in the UK and Irish markets. Through Agent IP he also worked to introduce IPIX 360 Immersive Technology and other cutting-edge CCTV products to the global market.

"I'm really looking forward to taking on the position of managing director, leading UK operations. We are on the cusp of some fascinating developments for the surveillance industry and Mirasys is well placed to drive critical innovations over the next few years," said Cameron.

Cameron will be responsible for expanding Mirasys UK, working closely with partners and local hardware vendors to develop a set of best-of-breed technology solutions designed to meet the most exacting CCTV requirements. He will also develop the UK-based sales force and introduce the latest in surveillance software advances to the UK market.

Jukka Riivari, chief executive of Mirasys said, "Iain Cameron offers a wealth of technical and business expertise and we are pleased to appoint him to this new role."

Mirasys provides a video management platform upon which to build systems that incorporate the very latest proven innovations in CCTV technologies, such as HD, Video Analytics and Virtual IP Matrices.
