Mirasys Ltd, a leading provider of networked video surveillance systems, expands its ownership base.  The investment made by CapMan, one of the leading private equity investors in the Nordic countries, enables Mirasys to expand its international presence and to strengthen its competitive edge in the fast developing security industry.

Mirasys develops and markets innovative solutions for recording, analysing, storing and managing video and other surveillance-related data for the security industry.  The company has 35 employees in Finland and Spain. Approximately half of Mirasys' net sales accrued from outside of Finland in 2006, with the other Nordic countries and Spain as the most important international markets.  Mirasys' recent end-user customers include the Norwegian University of Science and Technology in Trondheim, the ASEM summit in Helsinki, and several New York State school districts.
