Karl Erik Traberg will have overall responsibility for corporate communications and strategic developments

Milestone Systems, the open platform company in IP video management software (VMS), has promoted from within for a new position at the headquarters. In the new role, Karl Erik Traberg will have overall responsibility for corporate communications and strategic developments. One of the most important tasks will be to ensure synchronisation of all communications to both internal and external stakeholders in relation to the company’s new strategies, with the goal to support Milestone’s leading global position in the video surveillance and physical security industry.

With more than 20 years of international business experience in high-tech sales, marketing, communications, business development and corporate strategy, Karl Erik Traberg has broad leadership skills. In addition to this work with a number of large international firms, he also has deep knowledge of Milestone Systems, where he has been responsible for business development, strategy and market analysis since 2008, most recently as Head of Corporate Development.

“I welcome Karl Erik in this new role to leverage his history with our company and from his background. He will apply strong skills to orchestrating Milestone’s communications for all of our stakeholders,” says Lars Thinggaard, President and CEO of Milestone Systems.

Traberg has previously been the Head of Marketing and Strategy for the Danish subsidiary of the Japanese company Anritsu (formerly GN NetTest), a provider in the telecommunications sector. He has also been Director for Account Marketing and Requirements and Senior Manager for Product Marketing and Sales Operations at Alcatel in the United States.
