Milestone Systems, the open platform company in IP video management software, has hired security industry professional Stephen Jones as Northern Regional Manager in the United Kingdom.

In response to continued growth and development of the partner channel and customer base in the UK, Milestone Systems Ltd. has hired Stephen Jones as Sales Manager for the Northern region. The uptake of IP technology in the physical security sector is creating ever increasing demands for this company's market-leading offerings in open platform IP video surveillance management software, traditionally referred to as CCTV in the UK.

Stephen has been active working with large systems integrators to provide solution design expertise in these industry sectors: construction, defence, education, gaming, local government authorities and utilities. He is proficient in the implementation of a wide range of security and surveillance equipment and technologies including camera types and lenses, telemetry, matrices, video surveillance distribution, recording, management software and compression techniques, structured cable systems, fibre optics, wireless technologies, video analytics such as ANPR and facial recognition software, access control systems, and more.

"Stephen brings to Milestone his strong sales and communication skills for supporting implementation techniques with decision makers and influencers. His proven sales and service skills will help ensure customer satisfaction, in addition to our established partner training, technical support, and further developments for managing major projects, for which we have many exciting plans in sight," says Glenn Fletcher, Country Manager for Milestone Systems Ltd.

Stephen has been actively working with large systems integrators to provide solutions expertise in various industry sectors

His previous positions include Regional Sales Manager at 360 Vision Technology Limited (2004-2009) and Major Accounts and Area Sales Manager positions that followed Technical Support at Video Controls Limited/Honeywell Systems (1996-2004), where he was selling and specifying surveillance solutions through system integrators, consultants and end users. Prior to that, Stephen had his own company called Ambertec Security Systems, after starting his career in the security industry as an installation engineer at Ranger Developments and Bellard Electronics.

Stephen Jones received his higher education degree from West Cheshire College, in Handbridge, Chester (1984-1988) and followed up with these professional qualifications: HNC - Electrical and Electronic Engineering, Part Six-Sigma Trained, and the completion of several Mercuri sales training courses.

Stephen is an enthusiastic golfer and a member of Upton-by-Chester Golf Club, so Milestone partners and customers can look for some smooth driving as he covers his new territory.
