Milestone Systems, the open platform company in IP video management software (VMS), has created the Milestone Learning Portal for online education to train and certify industry professionals on the technical and commercial details of Milestone product offerings. The portal contains a variety of online resources designed to enhance a flexible, self-directed learning experience.
Created for professionals in the physical security and surveillance industry, the Milestone Learning Portal provides a unique knowledge environment for all members of the Milestone community: system integrators, consultants, IT professionals, security dealers, Milestone distributors, strategic partners and end users. It features online training and certification programs that have been specifically tailored to meet educational needs at every level of technical competence and practical know-how.
Each user enrolled in the Milestone Learning Portal is able to proceed at his/her preferred pace and to track individual progress. This flexibility allows the learning experience to be adapted to the needs and availability of each person. Participants in instructor-led Milestone training and certification programs can also access course materials and additional resources anytime.
The Milestone Learning Portal offers access to the same materials used in Milestone’s instructor-led courses, in addition to the continuously expanding selection of online course options. Current course and material offerings include: Milestone Fundamentals Course and Assessment (online), Milestone Professional Course and Certification Test (online), course materials for Milestone Professional, Advanced, and Expert Certifications (classes held in person).

Milestone partners can hone skill developments in sales, product licensing, installation, and configuration of Milestone XProtect® VMS offerings. Re-certification options are available for maintaining their Milestone partner status and professional competencies. Continuing education credits like BICSI will be available for a selection of the courses.
