Milestone Systems, the world market leader for open platform IP video management software, announces the establishment of an office in Germany, with Stefan Teuber as Sales Manager.
Milestone Systems is continuing its global growth with the opening of an office in Germany, which will further strengthen the company's international business activities. Stefan Teuber, previously at Sanyo, has joined the company as Sales Manager for this region.
With headquarters based in Denmark, Milestone has been active in the European market since its inception almost a decade ago, spearheading the convergence from analog to digital for video surveillance solutions. With local representation and support, Germany represents a substantial opportunity in this industry, so Stefan Teuber has been appointed to head up the new German office.
He will be responsible for managing the Milestone Systems partner channel in Germany, providing sales expertise that draws on his many years of experience in the security business.
For the past five years, Stefan Teuber was the European Sales Manager for Sanyo, responsible for setting up their sales network in Europe. Prior to this, he served as Key Account Manager for Convision Systems in Germany, where he first got to know the Milestone IP video management software for its support of the widest choice in network hardware.

Germany is an important market for video surveillance equipment in Europe, second in size only to the UK. According to the latest reports from IMS Research, it is estimated that by 2010 the German video surveillance market altogether could be worth $305.8 million.

Stefan Teuber's focus will be to set up a strong and competent sales network that spans both the security and IT industries where the analog-digital convergence is taking place. The German office will be expanded with pre-sales and technical support resources this year.
