Milestone is a leader in open platform IP video management software
Milestone and Surveon have collaborated to expand their market in Greater China

Milestone, a leader in open platform IP video management software, and Surveon, the complete megapixel solutions provider, today announced that they will expand their cooperation in Greater China's video surveillance market. As part of the new strategic partnership, Surveon will integrate Milestone's industry-leading XProtect product series on its enterprise-level RAID NVR solutions and high-performance iVS video storage systems, in order to provide comprehensive solutions featuring excellent stability and performance.

Freddy Ho, China Sales Manager of Surveon, noted "The XProtect video surveillance management software integrated by Surveon has been the market leader for seven straight years, and has been successfully adopted in more than 100,000 surveillance projects around the world. Surveon will leverage the advanced technologies and high reliability of XProtect to help our partners in Greater China upgrade to megapixel surveillance systems."

Surveon's new EMR (Enterprise Megapixel Recorder) Series developed and manufactured in-house - has been specifically designed for megapixel NVR applications. EMR systems feature quad-core Xeon processors, up to six 1GbE iSCSI ports and two 6Gb/s SAS ports, as well as high-end EonStor controllers for data storage to ensure performance and stability in megapixel environments. The XProtect integration has been comprehensively tested by Surveon, and data storage parameters have been optimised for these integrated solutions. These comprehensive solutions can effectively help SIs solve integration and stability problems often encountered when using products that have been assembled with low-level commercial hardware components.

Ho added, "XProtect supports an extremely wide range of network hardware, and offers comprehensive software application development tools, enabling SIs to quickly customise solutions for specific surveillance projects and offering them a high level of flexibility." Surveon's new EMR product line integrating Milestone software features models supporting 8, 16, 24, up to 112 disk drives, giving users in the Greater China market a wide range of options to choose from.

Sunny Kong, Sales Manager Asia Pacific of Milestone, noted "The performance and stability of storage solutions have traditionally been major challenges for SIs when working on megapixel surveillance projects. The exclusive design used in Surveon's EMR Series, as well as the EonStor storage controllers that have achieved an install base of more than 200,000 around the world, will be able to push XProtect performance to new extremes. Coupled with extraordinary stability, we believe XProtect is ideal for the rapidly growing demand in the Greater China market."
