Milestone's open platform provides quality image capture and seamless interoperability with SynopSYS
RISCO Group USA highlights the benefits of their domestic partnership agreement with Milestone Systems
RISCO Group USA highlights the benefits of their domestic partnership agreement with Milestone Systems at ASIS 2009, with their presence in the Milestone Solutions Center (booth # 4445). The display will demonstrate RISCO Group USA's SynopSYS™ Integrated Security and Building Management System featuring expanded functionality enabled by Milestone's XProtect IP video open platform software. SynopSYS provides site management and control from a single interface, using intuitive synoptic maps and allowing command and control of security, video monitoring, fire detection, access control and other building automation systems.

Built around the theme "How the future looks is up to YOU," the Milestone Solutions Center will show how Milestone Systems can "video-enable" an organisation by offering an open platform to incorporate solutions from various vendors. SynopSYS from RISCO Group USA is one of several diverse and groundbreaking innovations chosen by Milestone Systems to demonstrate the integration possibilities. The RISCO Group demonstration will encompass a complete integrated security solution, event and building management, and integration to the Milestone video management system platform.

"Working as a Milestone Solution Partner enables us to offer an integrated end-to-end solution for video surveillance, and the exhibit at ASIS will clearly demonstrate that capability," said Len Friedman, President and CEO, RISCO Group USA. "Milestone's open platform provides quality image capture and seamless interoperability with SynopSYS."

The collaboration complements RISCO Group's solution by integrating video surveillance input from IP cameras into SynopSYS. With SynopSYS, live video events serve as triggers for real-time alerts and automated actions on any integrated security system or device. Likewise, any event in SynopSYS, such as an access alarm, can trigger recording of video from the relevant IP camera through a software-based interface.

"RISCOs integration illustrates the strength of the Milestone Open Platform" said Reinier Tuinzing, Milestone Distribution Manager, "The SDK and APIs allow our solution partners to quickly integrate their application and capitalise on Milestone XProtect product capabilities while providing compatibility to over 700 IP camera models. The net result is a more robust and flexible video solution delivered to RISCOcustomers." Using the Milestone open platform, SynopSYS can integrate with an unlimited number of cameras and the widest choice of IP hardware models, while providing an ideal management system for any type or size of application. With proven experience in installations for the commercial, industrial, and military sectors, SynopSYS now offers full flexibility for integrators with a complete, video enabled platform for security and building management.
