Milestone’s recording engine as an important component within OnSSI NetEVS
NetEVS is using the Milestone XProtect™ Corporate video recording engine which handles very large surveillance installations
The worldwide agreement between On-Net Surveillance Systems (OnSSI) and Milestone Systems, the open platform company within IP video management software, is expanded with the release of OnSSI's NetEVS solution. One of the recording offerings in the OnSSI Ocularis™ Physical Security Information Management (PSIM) product line, NetEVS is using the Milestone XProtect™ Corporate video recording engine which handles very large surveillance installations.

Milestone XProtect Corporate is a premium multi-server, rules based video surveillance system with fully distributed management of unlimited servers, cameras, users and sites in dispersed locations - including full-fledged remote access. The powerful and feature rich XProtect Corporate administration tools provide unmatched easy wizards and rules for managing all the components and users, also in customizable groups.

Particularly attractive for the NetEVS integration is the unique and cost-effective Milestone archiving model, which allows customers to reduce the high cost of video storage by using fast local disks for short-term recordings and affordable network storage for mass-scale, long-term archiving. Other key capabilities with the Milestone platform include data retrieval and all server-level functionality. Failover service ensures maximum uptime, where one or more failover servers can support multiple recording servers with automatic synchronization of video data.

"As an ingredient OEM for OnSSI's NetEVS, the Milestone true open platform provides rich integration options for a best-in-class IP video solution with global penetration in the market," states Lars Thinggaard, President & CEO of Milestone

"This integration initiative adds another advanced OnSSI VMS solution under Ocularis, and enables NetEVS users to benefit from Ocularis' intuitive advanced user interface, alerting system, and investigative tools."
