Peter Biltsted to talk on Open Platform VMS — with Emphasis on Integration to 3rd Party Applications

VIVOTEK presented a joint symposium with Milestone Systems during Intersec Dubai on Jan. 16, 2012. Guest speaker Peter Biltsted, Sales Director of the Middle East for Milestone Systems, gave a talk on "Open Platform VMS - with Emphasis on Integration to 3rd Party Applications" at VIVOTEK's booth 106C in Hall 4.

"The presentation illuminated the advantages of choosing an open platform VMS, with emphasis on integration third party applications," Biltsted said. "The importance of interoperability through an open platform is now more important than ever when building effective security systems: it is the future-proof approach that is flexible and powerful enough to fulfill requirements both today and tomorrow."

Biltsted has been in the computer industry since 1985, and has extensive experience from working with manufacturers, resellers and distributors. He has been stationed in Dubai as territorial sales director managing multiple geographical regions including the Middle East, Africa, India, Pakistan, Australia and New Zealand.

In addition to the joint symposium at Intersec Dubai, VIVOTEK and Milestone have been collaborating closely, particularly on the device integration front. VIVOTEK FD8162/62V, MD8562/62D, FD8161, SD83x3E, SD83x2E, SD83x1E, IP8335H, SD8111, and VS8401 network video surveillance cameras are listed in Milestone Systems' latest hardware support announcement for XProtect Device Pack 5.7.
