XProtect supports more than 1,000 digital cameras, encoders and DVRs from different manufacturers
Milestone's XProtect software enables customers to monitor and control analogue and IP cameras
12 of Samsung's iPOLiS HD network cameras have been integrated with the Milestone’sXprotect IP video management software
The models are: SNB-5000, SNB-7000 megapixel box cameras, SNO-5080R, SNO-7080R megapixel weatherproof bullet cameras with built-in IR LEDs, SND-5080, SND-5080F, SND-7080, SND-7080F megapixel internal dome cameras, SNV-5080, SNV-7080 megapixel weatherproof vandal dome cameras and SNV-5080R, SNV-7080R megapixel weatherproof vandal dome cameras with built-in IR LEDs.

Milestone XProtect software allows customers to gain maximum benefit from a video surveillance system by being able to monitor and control analogue and IP cameras as well as access control, mobile devices and video analytics, from a single graphical user interface. XProtect currently supports more than 1,000 digital cameras, encoders and digital video recorders (DVRs) from almost 100 different manufacturers.

Samsung is a member of the Milestone Systems’ Manufacturers Alliance Programme and has a partnership agreement which allows customers, who buy Samsung network cameras and domes, to have the opportunity to use Milestone XProtect management software with a free one-camera license which is included in the camera packages.

Whilst Samsung has the capability to be a one-stop-shop for analogue, hybrid and IP network based video surveillance systems, we recognise the need to provide customers with the flexibility to choose the perfect combination of security products to match their specific requirements. We also want to make it easier for customers who are looking for a gradual transition from an existing to a fully IP based surveillance solution. Our integration with Milestone is part of an ongoing programme to integrate with leading independent software vendors (ISVs) who can offer ‘open’ software specifically designed to facilitate the integration of equipment and systems from different manufacturers.

Milestone and Samsung technical teams are working closely together to integrate additional iPOLiS network camera models and an announcement on an enlarged list is expected at the beginning of July 2012.
