Security Essen will promote the appearances of young innovative companies from Germany

Security Essen started in 1974 with 105 exhibitors. This year, well over 1,000 companies from around 40 nations will present their products and services. Since the beginning the world's premier fair for security and fire protection technology has been the sectoral showcase for innovations. On September 23 - 26 too, a large number of companies will introduce their innovations to the trade public for the first time at Messe Essen.

Messe Essen distinguishes particularly pioneering products and services with the Security Innovation Award. The prize is conferred in the three categories: "Technology & Products", "Services" and "Fire Protection". With immediate effect, companies can put themselves forward as candidates for this award with their innovations. The closing date for submissions will be June 13, 2014. A knowledgeable jury chaired by Hermann Feuerlein, former Vice-Chairman of Bundesverband deutscher Sicherheitsberater und -ingenieure e.V. (BDSI - "Federal Association of German Security Consultants and Engineers"), will check the submissions. The awards will be handed over during a festive gala in the evening before Security Essen. Rudi Cerne, presenter of the "Aktenzeichen XY" television programme, will be the compere for the evening.

Moreover, Security Essen will promote the appearances of young innovative companies from Germany at the fair. On a cooperative booth under the title of "Innovation Made in Germany", the participants will be able to show their new products and innovations to trade visitors from all over the world. Their appearances at the fair will be supported by the Federal Ministry of Economic Affairs and Energy which will bear 70 percent of the costs of the booth rent. Firms from the fields of security consultancy, electronics and security systems (amongst others) have registered until now. Just a few areas are still free.
