QNAP Security’s NVRs are specifically designed to integrate with the functionality of IP/network cameras and provide users with the ability to view in real time.
QNAP Security NVR is now in compliance with Open Network Video Interface Forum standard which has enhanced it further

QNAP Security, the premium Linux-based and PC-less NVR solution provider, has recently announced its NVR compatibility enhancement which enables users to select among a wide range of IP cameras and video servers - more than 1,000 models including most professional brands. Furthermore, the Viostor NVR firmware 3.3.1. allows full usage of ONVIF standardisation (Open Network Video Interface Forum) products.

QNAP Security's NVRs are specifically designed to integrate with the functionality of IP/network cameras and provide users with the ability to view in real time, live or recorded video from anywhere in the world via a web based user interface.  The products not only offer a true plug-and-play experience, but the Viostor NVR version 3.3.1 includes new functions such as the ‘Auto video snapshot savings' and the ‘Specific channel remote setting' which will enable users at different management levels to easily access significant records which they have prioritised.

Mayflex, a leading distributor of cabling infrastructure, networking and physical security products, supplies QNAP as part of its range of ‘best in class' products.  Chris Lawson, Mayflex Security Specialist - North, comments, "So many manufacturers are creating ONVIF conformant products and it has been an important step for QNAP to do the same with their PRO series. VioStor NVR users can now easily connect with standardised ONVIF network devices to expand their variety of choices."

Mayflex has only recently added QNAP to its portfolio, but it is already proving to be a great product range, providing numerous benefits to users.  "QNAP is a fantastic product," Chris continues, "and already works with numerous IP cameras from a broad range of suppliers.  Adding ONVIF compliance means the product will be a real asset to even more installers.  QNAP offers an easy to use, competitively priced, multi-protocol recording solution for eight to forty channel surveillance projects and in just a few months has become very popular with our customers."
