GJD Manufacturing Limited, world leader in UK manufacturing, design and supply of CCTV LED Illuminators and professional external detector equipment has recently announced the global launch of Clarius® Plus, a technology advanced professional LED illuminator, combining high power, low running costs and excellent optical output, all in a compact design to bring the CCTV industry the next level of LED illuminators.

The dynamic functions of the Clarius® Plus range of infra-red and white light illuminators allows the end user to benefit immensely; its new interchangeable lens diffuser system provides a quick and user-friendly method to easily alter the angle of illumination. Another major benefit is the elliptical beam profiles, which allow significantly more light to be delivered precisely where it is required, enabling both longer distances to be reached and drastically minimising light wastage, ultimately saving energy and costs compared to a standard illuminator.

Director, Keith Fenwick commented: “Lighting has proved itself as a clever deterrent against many crimes and as a result it is normally the first line of criminal defence. Unfortunately, we tend to see that professionals often overlook the important aspect of controlled lighting when selecting their security technology. This is why the Clarius® Plus range is well suited as it is very easy to alter the system to suit specific site requirements, such as field of view and illumination range”.

Each Clarius® illuminator is fitted with the very latest surface mount Dual core LEDs to provide ultra-clear night images, matched with enhanced optical output and outstanding reliability. The innovative system also helps to prevent overexposure of foreground objects.

Clarius® Plus systems are tough, robust and waterproof making them suitable for both internal and external applications. Units are fitted with integrated control circuitry to carefully adjust LED output and so deliver improved and consistent CCTV night vision performance. Additionally Clarius® Plus illuminators have a design life of ten years and a comprehensive five year warranty.

This announcement follows closely after the merger of GJD and Advanced LED Technology (ALT), as GJD increased its shares in ALT from 51% to 100%, with the positive integration of GJD and ALT's resources at the Group HQ in Heywood, Greater Manchester.
