Anviz Global is providing an access control system for Panasonic’s factory in Malaysia to strengthen security and simplify the time attendance control among the employees through a fingerprint-based VF30 device.

Installation site:

All the facilities of Panasonic Malaysia, including factories and offices.

Project background:

Panasonic Malaysia required the implementation of a reliable and accurate access control system in over 200 doors, an easy to use technology and, highly compatible software which was capable of handling complex time-attendance functions, such as the entries and exits of the personnel.

Requirements vs. solutions:

Hardware:  Anviz Global’s VF30 – Fingerprint + Card + PW access control device

Software:  AIM Software

The device that best suited the task was Anviz Global’s VF30, combined with the Anviz’s trademark AIM Software, which allows an independent access control in real-time, record and download files for an easier management.

To increase even more the control, Anviz added an anti-passback system to avoid that a person just entered into a controlled area gives his badge to another one to allow his access.

The extensive project has started, settling in its first stage 300 units of VF30, therefore the Company can manage all the Access Control and Time Attendance from any place by accessing to the AIM Software, especially designed to cover their needs. In the reception area, for example, the sliding doors are kept closed at night to increase security, in the morning, through a remote validation the doors are activated again. This solution also allows important budget savings since they now administrate Access Control for remote places instead of having to give keys or cards on site.

The fabric also needed to restrict some departments, like the Payroll one, due to the confidential information and assets that the unit safeguards. The solution Anviz provides is to grant access only to authorised staff. In case of something unusual occurs, the system records the movements of each person, tracks times and in/outs of the employees and, finds the source of the problem.

Furthermore, the administrator can also block doors to avoid accidents such as the spread of a fire or a robbery, making the factory a very safe place to work.
