March Networks® (TSX: MN), a global provider of intelligent IP video solutions
Fabrizio Colciago, Chief Technology Officer, March Networks to speak at the Intersec 2010 trade fair and conference
March Networks®, a global provider of intelligent IP video solutions, recently announced that Fabrizio Colciago, Chief Technology Officer, March Networks, will detail how organisations can achieve new levels of cost-effective fault tolerance in their IP video surveillance systems on January 17 at the Intersec 2010 trade fair and conference in Dubai, United Arab Emirates.

During his presentation entitled "Fail Safe Recording Options for IP Edge Devices", Mr. Colciago will outline how new IP video technologies such as Shadow Archiving™ can deliver economic system redundancy in Video Management System (VMS) deployments. His discussion, which begins at 1:15 pm in Hall 2 at the Dubai International Convention and Exhibition Centre, will also examine the evolving importance of edge-based IP video architectures.

"IP video systems can be vulnerable to interruptions caused by network faults, server failures or power outages, and the cost of mitigating these risks has traditionally been high," said Mr. Colciago. "By combining emerging technologies with capabilities such as direct network attached storage (NAS) recording and innovative Shadow Archiving, organisations can strengthen system redundancy and video access dramatically and cost-effectively."

In addition to Mr. Colciago's presentation, March Networks will showcase its comprehensive VideoSphere® portfolio of high-definition IP cameras, encoders, analytics and VMS software January 17-19 at the Intersec trade fair in Hall 2, Stand 315C.

Since the opening of its regional office in Dubai in October 2009, March Networks has focused on providing its IP video solutions to leading aviation and commercial-industrial organisations in the region, including the Ras Al Khaimah and Al Ain international airports, and a large, international hospitality group that has deployed the company's VideoSphere systems in five of its luxury properties.

Concurrent with the high profile Intersec event, which drew more than 17,000 security professionals in 2009, March Networks will also host a financial seminar and roundtable on January 19 at the Dubai International Financial Centre. This invitation-only seminar for representatives of the region's leading financial institutions will cover topics ranging from ATM skimming and identity theft to surveillance infrastructure. It will be led by financial and security industry experts who understand the critical role integrated IP video solutions can play in helping financial institutions enhance security and reduce losses.
