Protection 1will oversee the quality and production of management and non-management personnel
General Managers are responsible for managing the day-to-day operations for their respective areas

Protection 1, the largest full-service business and home security company in the U.S., recently announced that it has named new general managers for six key markets across the country. The new appointments include:

Mark Acosta, who was promoted to General Manager of the Visalia branch office. Acosta started his career in the security industry 25 years ago and has been with Protection 1 in a variety of roles for the past 17 years, including service technician, residential sales consultant, operations supervisor, and service supervisor for the Phoenix branch.

Chad Swain, who is new to Protection 1, was hired as General Manager for the Cleveland and Columbus markets. His experience ranges from commercial sales and installation manager to executive sales trainer, senior vice president of sales, and regional general manager. Swain also owned and operated his own company as a manufacturer and distributor of security products including video, IP and HD cameras and DVRs.

Stephen Russell, who re-joins Protection 1 as the new General Manager for the Oklahoma City branch office. Russell has more than 10 years’ experience in the security industry, holding positions in both sales and operations. His career also encompasses 20 years of leadership experience including roles as a General Manager, District Operations Manager and District Sales Manager.

William “Bill” Henry, who joins the Company as General Manager for its Orlando branch office. Henry brings more than 28 years’ experience in the industry with him for his new role. During his distinguished career, he has served as operations manager, regional operations manager, general manager and director of security holdings.

Mark Weidemann, who was named new General Manager for the San Antonio and McAllen branches. Weidemann began his career as a security system technician more than 30 years ago while serving in the United States Air Force. Over the years, he has held positions ranging from residential and commercial installer, sales representative and sales manager, to operations supervisor and district general manager. Weidemann holds an Associate’s degree in Fire Science Technology, a Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, and a Master’s degree in Business Administration and is NICET II certified.

General Managers are responsible for managing the day-to-day operations for their respective areas, which include both commercial and residential sales activities. They also oversee the quality and production of management and non-management personnel and assume responsibility for the attainment of all financial and operational objectives.
