Kelvin Hughes CxEye software combines radar and camera images to provide an easy to use, cost-effective, situational awareness picture
Visitors to the Kelvin stand can interact with radar feeds and multiple real-time electro-optical cameras

Kelvin Hughes is, for the first time, demonstrating its integrated security and surveillance technologies at Eurosatory (Hall 5 – J488). Visitors to the stand can interact with radar feeds and multiple real-time electro-optical cameras. A large touch screen simulates a control room display while tablets highlight ease of operation in the field.

Kelvin Hughes CxEye™ software combines radar and camera images to provide an easy to use, cost-effective, situational awareness picture. Designed for ease of use and using a ‘detect, recognise, identify and classify’ methodology, CxEye™ geo-references radar tracks on a selection of mapping tools. Track fusion from multiple sensors is achieved in a single touchscreen display that also features fast ‘slew to cue’ functionality.

The lightweight 80W radar SharpEye™ SxV is being shown in its Single Mast Solution (SMS) configuration. There is also a longer-range variant of SharpEye™ on display with composite housing and integrated 300W transceiver.

Kelvin Hughes’ SharpEye™ radars provide continuous 360° coverage in all weathers. The through-shaft unit in the SMS configuration compliments the radar coverage with a full 360° line of sight for the camera payload (typically a long-range and a thermal imaging camera). It also provides pan and tilt capability.

The Kelvin Hughes SharpEye™ radar technology is lightweight and easily deployable on a multitude of platforms. It has excellent detection performance using solid state, pulse Doppler technology and provides users with an unrivalled radar capability that can detect small moving targets in adverse weather conditions.

Jonathan Field, Director Security Sensors and Systems at Kelvin Hughes commented: “What we are offering here is a very capable, cost-effective off-the-shelf surveillance package that can be quickly, and easily, deployed. It works in all weathers and offers unparalleled situational awareness capability.”
