Visualant’s ChromaID Developer Tools will let developers build custom applications with its scanner
The ChromaID F12 Scanner is a handheld device designed for authentication and diagnosis of flat substances

Visualant, Inc., an industry-leading provider of chromatic-based identification and diagnostic solutions with its ChromaID™ technology, announced recently that it will be showing the new ChromaID F12 Scanner for the first time in Europe at the booth C2/657 at the Laser World of Photonics in Munich, Germany, taking place on May 13th-16th, 2013.

The ChromaID F12 Scanner is a handheld device designed for authentication and diagnosis of flat substances, using LEDs and Photodiodes. This scanner will be included in Visualant’s forthcoming ChromaID F12 Lab Kit, which is planned for release early in Q3 2013. Visualant’s ChromaID Developer Tools will let developers build custom applications with this scanner, and evaluate the ChromaID Scanhead for use in their own products.

“The realization of the ChromaID F12 Scanner as our first product in the marketplace is an important milestone for our company and this sector,” said Ron Erickson, President and CEO. “It will empower innovation and enable people to use our technology for their own applications, which will lead to a myriad of uses that we never anticipated or dreamed of.”

The Laser World of Photonics is one of the largest photonics shows in the world with more than 29,000 attendees, 1,100 exhibitors and participants from 65 countries. This makes it a focal point for new technologies and provides a unique opportunity for Visualant to share and socialize the ChromaID technology for industrial, commercial and consumer applications and markets throughout Europe.
