 New multifunctional customer and credit card solutions thanks to the partnership between Multicard and LEGIC®
Partnership comes as response to growing demand for multifunctional smart card solutions

Multicard AG, renowned general contractor in the smart card project consultancy and implementation, is expanding its product portfolio. Multicard has closed on a licence partnership with LEGIC Identsystems Ltd, the leading producer of contactless smart card technology. Therefore, the company is now offering highly developed LEGIC technology-based multifunctional customer and credit card solutions.

With this partnership, the company is reacting to the growing demand for multifunctional smart card solutions. Multicard has already successfully introduced LEGIC based contactless smart cards as customer cards with an integrated ticket for local public transport services in the town of Augsburg/Germany. Besides applications in the field of electronic fare management, Multicard is planning to use LEGIC technology in such areas as ticketing and access control.
