LEGIC Identsystems Ltd, the leading manufacturer of contactless smart card systems for personal identification applications, and NT-ware, provider of software and hardware solutions for managing and monitoring printing and copying processes, have concluded a licence partnership which is of strategic importance to both companies.

NT-ware is based in BadIburg in Germany and was founded in 1998.  The company offers its customers products and solutions for workflow optimisation and for boosting productivity and efficiency in the area of printing and copying.  NT-ware caters equally for the needs of major international companies, small local firms, universities and copy shops.  Besides proven technical competence and extremely exacting quality standards, the company is firmly committed to inclusion of its customers and the particular challenges their needs bring as well as to using the very latest technology.

NT-ware's product portfolio consists predominantly of hardware and software solutions.  The company's most important product, uniFLOW Output Manager, allows intelligent monitoring and analysis of all print processes.  NT-ware also develops and supplies solutions for secure printing applications.  For example, print jobs are submitted from a workstation but only triggered on a multifunctional printer/copier after personal identification.  Costs are assigned precisely to the appropriate cost centre and confidential documents are not left lying around unattended even in cases where printers and copiers are installed in a central location.  NT-ware's product range is rounded out by corresponding identification systems, flexible interfaces with other systems and further features for producing printed documents.  Thanks to Canon's stake in the German company, it has the backing of a leading international partner for sales in Europe, the Middle East, Singapore and Australia/New Zealand.  LEGIC's contactless all-in-one card technology for personal identification applications makes NT-ware's secure printing and identification systems even more secure, convenient and multifunctional.  NT-ware's portfolio also includes additional services such as consulting, development of new concepts, support, training and certification.

"We are looking for market-leading partners who share our standards when it comes to quality and customer closeness.  This licence partnership with LEGIC opens up new horizons and opportunities for both companies which, in the final analysis, will benefit our customers - making it a triple win," affirms Kasten Huster, NT-ware's Chief Executive, describing the very promising prospects.

Klaus U. Klosa, LEGIC's Managing Director, is also happy to have this new licence partner, "NT-ware offers reliable, promising solutions for a broad customer segment and has the backing of strong partners.  We are convinced that this licence agreement has similar benefits for both firms."
