LEGIC Identsystems Ltd, the leading manufacturer of contactless smart card technology for personal identification applications, and AZS System AG, one of the major companies supplying comprehensive and complex solutions in the fields of personnel management, time recording, access control and safety technology, have recently signed a licence partnership.  AZS already has experience of LEGIC all-in-one card technology, and the deal means that it now has direct access to the technical expertise available at LEGIC.

With its motto - "We build the bridges between technology and man" - AZS, headquartered in Hamburg, Germany, develops and implements forward-looking and economic total solutions for personnel and safety management.  Since it was founded in 1989 the company has always concentrated on integral solutions, and has already installed over a thousand successful systems at well-known small and medium-sized business, and also at major corporate groups.  With the perfect interplay between hardware and software, administrative bodies, public authorities, industrial companies and retailers are able to obtain new and proven total solutions from a single source. Many of these projects are based on LEGIC all-in-one card technology.

AZS System AG specialises in producing flexible and modular systems for implementation into any industry sector, that are easy to incorporate into a company's existing IT infrastructure, and which can deal with the wide-ranging demands imposed by a wide customer base.  The 13.56 MHz contactless LEGIC all-in-one card technology for personal identification is capable of incorporating up to 127 different applications.  This capacity is very akin to AZS objectives and to its products.  The company is responding to the increasing demand for contactless LEGIC technology and the excellent experience with it by expanding its LEGIC expertise in the form of a licence partnership.  This means it will be able to react more efficiently to the market and supply its customers with personnel management, time management and access control systems that are even more future-proof than before.

"We take the increased demand for contactless LEGIC all-in-one card technology very seriously.  Our experience with the technology has been extremely positive and the wide range of applications that can be incorporated into it corresponds with our own alignment towards integral solutions.  Having our own licence partnership will uphold and maintain our LEGIC capabilities, and ensure that we can react positively to market requirements," commented Eberhard Fabricius, Chairman of AZS, speaking about the new partnership.

Klaus U. Klosa, Managing Director of LEGIC Identsystems Ltd welcomed the new licence partner.  "In AZS System AG we are gaining a new licence partner that already has extensive experience of our technology and that is supporting us based on good reason and on its convictions.  AZS is gaining direct access to our technical expertise, and we are gaining an experienced and well positioned partner."
