Magna Carta, the largest Dutch cashless vendor, is a new licence partner of LEGIC Identsystems Ltd, manufacturer of contactless smart card technology for personal identification and, thus, supports the contactless LEGIC smart card technology.

With innovative smart card applications, Magna Carta is a world class supplier of contactless solutions for the education, healthcare, leisure, government and business environment.

Magna Carta provides complete identification solutions for all imaginable applications such as catering, vending, access control, ticketing, parking, photocopying, cashless payment, time registration and transaction systems. Due to the expansion of Magna Carta's international business, the LEGIC endorsement has become an essential requirement. Meanwhile, several multi-application projects based on contactless LEGIC smart card technology have been already realised.

"The integration of the LEGIC technology was easy to realise thanks to the LEGIC multi-application and the professional support," says Hans Ruck, Commercial Director of Magna Carta. "Our customers will benefit from solutions which combine high security standards and flexible LEGIC multi-application technology."

Dr Otto Eggimann, Vice President Sales and Business Development of LEGIC, is convinced of the benefits for both companies. He says: "This partnership with Magna Carta means an important step towards strengthening our presence and solution offering in Europe. Magna Carta's international customers will benefit from a technology which is both secure and flexible."
