The strategic collaboration between Red Hawk and Sony brings specialised value to midmarket commercial customers in retail, banking, education, and healthcare
Red Hawk is also a member of the Sony Security Preferred Reseller (SSPR) program

Red Hawk Fire & Security U.S., a leader in fire, life safety and security services, recently announced it will begin offering Sony Electronics’ complete line of professional security video products including the award-winning Sony IPELA Hybrid technology. Red Hawk is also a member of the Sony Security Preferred Reseller (SSPR) program.

“Red Hawk has a solid heritage of customer service and specialised capabilities that make them a perfect complement for our security solutions,” said Mark Collett, General Manager, Sony Security Systems Division. “Sony’s continued innovation is supported by the technical expertise that companies like Red Hawk can provide as they help their customers navigate the transition to newer technologies.” Sony’s IPELA Hybrid creates a new category of security product with its ability to simultaneously stream SD analogue and HD IP video over a single coaxial cable. The Security Industry Association (SIA) recently recognised the IPELA Hybrid technology with the highly competitive video surveillance camera HD Megapixel Category Award.

“Aligning with Sony helps round out Red Hawk’s portfolio as we concentrate on delivering solutions that fit the needs of our customers, enabled with industry-leading technologies,” said Mike Snyder, Chief Executive Officer, Red Hawk. “By working with Sony we can help our clients apply HD video technology to improve business processes without replacing their coax-based infrastructure.”

The strategic collaboration between Red Hawk and Sony brings specialised value to midmarket commercial customers in retail, banking, education, and healthcare that have to address the requirements of compliance, avoidance of risk from loss, theft, shrink, fire, burglary and workplace violence but may have systems deployed several years ago. The IPELA Hybrid offers an answer to many customers who need HD imaging but need to extend the life and value of their legacy analogue systems.
