IDIS announced Harry Kwon as General Manager for the Middle East and Jamil Alasfar as Regional Sales Manager

Building on an already robust commitment to the Middle East and North Africa regions, IDIS announced the appointment of a new General Manager and Regional Sales Manager with dedicated Middle East responsibilities, and touted the opening of the IDIS Middle East headquarters in Dubai’s Silicon Oasis. IDIS made the announcements at Intersec 2015 at the Dubai International Convention and Exhibition Centre.

IDIS announced that Harry Kwon, a veteran IDIS global business manager, has been named General Manager for the Middle East. Kwon has supported IDIS business initiatives in Middle East, Russia, and Australian marketplaces for more than ten years, and will be based out of the company’s new Dubai regional head office. IDIS also appointed Jamil Alasfar as Regional Sales Manager. Alasfar will develop the Middle East and North African markets, working with new customers, including installers, integrators, distributors and end users, providing sales and technical support, as well as training.

IDIS also announced the opening of a permanent regional head office in Dubai Silicon Oasis. The 7.2 million square meter master planned community includes a technology park and provides both a living and working integrated community for global industry leaders, including Fujitsu, Western Digital, and IDIS.

Harry Kwon, General Manager, IDIS Middle East, said, “IDIS is taking action to clearly demonstrate our long-term commitment to the Middle East and North Africa region. We are building up key, dedicated regional leadership with the experience and expertise to drive growth and represent IDIS quality and excellence.

“The opening of a new IDIS Middle East office, in Dubai Silicon Oasis, is another example of IDIS’s commitment to serving our Middle East and North Africa customers with the same level of personal dedication and localised attention known by IDIS customers around the world. The selection of the Dubai Silicon Oasis, one of the region’s leading concentrations of corporate thought and innovation, is an ideal fit for IDIS’s culture of excellence.”

IDIS made these announcements at Intersec 2015, alongside a featured expansion of the company’s signature ultimate surveillance experience, featuring IDIS DirectIP™, an end-to-end surveillance solution that delivers benefits across the entire security buying chain.
