IDIS, a global leader in IP video surveillance, has launched IDIS Mobile, a mobile surveillance app for iOS and Android-based devices. IDIS Mobile is a free software client designed for use with DirectIP network surveillance solutions, providing live video viewing, PTZ control of network cameras, search/playback operation and an array of accessible functionality from mobile devices.

“IDIS is committed to offering our customers an easy and convenient way to secure their business and assets,” said Dr Albert Ryu, Executive Vice President at IDIS. “With the launch of IDIS Mobile, our customers can maximise the advantages of DirectIP HD video surveillance through remote access via a mobile device of their choice,” Ryuadded.

IDIS Mobile works over 3G, LTE and Wi-Fi connections, and allows users to view and control surveillance at remote sites from anywhere with an Internet connection. The app provides camera registration, configuration and playback as well as packing an array of convenient features including push notification, event/calendar search, two-way audio and live image capture. With the introduction of the IDIS Mobile app, IDIS now extends the user experience of its end-to-end DirectIP™ surveillance solutions, which include a range of industry-leading NVR’s and IP cameras complete with network accessories and a bundled VMS platform.
