ViS provides integrated systems to the public service, healthcare, education, and blue- chip commercial sectors
Nexus Connect will provide levels of manufacturer coordination, technical support and marketing expertise

Multidisciplined security specialist, ViS security solutions, has become the latest integrator partner to join Nexus Connect, the innovative partner programme run by Center Group. ViS has a very strong track record of providing integrated systems to the public service, healthcare, education, and blue- chip commercial sectors.

In a security market dominated by low margins and competition on price, Nexus Connect is a new, sustainable distribution model, with a simple aim: to generate ongoing business opportunities for partner integrators and manufacturers - and to provide end users with the best possible security system for their needs.

Bob Tate, who heads up the Nexus Connect division, said ViS was specifically targeted for inclusion as an integrator partner in the programme. "With offices in Belfast, Derry and Dublin, ViS gives us a very strong presence and capability in the Northern Ireland and Republic of Ireland markets. The company has a truly multidisciplined approach, as well as deep expertise in designing and installing IP-based security systems."

"Working together, we're able to provide integrated systems, not just for security, but also for business risk solutions"

ViS managing director, Michael Patterson, said that Nexus Connect will provide real benefits and a true partnership approach for the company. "It's refreshing to work with a partner which is able to provide the levels of manufacturer coordination, technical support and marketing expertise that Nexus Connect can deliver. Working together, we're able to provide integrated systems, not just for security, but also for business risk solutions."

Established in 1989, ViS Security Solutions specialises in intruder, CCTV and access control systems, and holds NSI Gold Accreditation in all three disciplines. ViS was one of the first security companies in Ireland to obtain ISO Quality Management accreditations 9001, 14001 and 18001. The company also includes solutions for automated fire protection, structured cabling and building management systems in its product portfolio. ViS was an early adopter of IP-based security solutions, creating a dedicated IP department. As a consequence the company is now the de facto market leader in collaborative IP system design and installation in their geographical regions. As a Cisco Advanced Technology Partner, ViS further provides design, installation and maintenance services on the Cisco Physical Security Applications.

Nexus Connect is a new approach to installer partner programmes and aims to do away with the inherent problems in schemes operated and controlled by manufacturers, which generally solely aim to build loyalty among integrators, requiring commitment from the installation company to buy a certain value of product from that single manufacturer.

In the case of Nexus Connect, however, the distributor undertakes a central position between multiple manufacturers and integrators, and justifies that position on the basis that it manages sales leads for the benefit of all involved parties as well as providing technical expertise and priority project pricing to its integrator partners.
