WavestoreUSA V5.40 includes WaveSTAR, which allows installers to integrate third-party systems with its VMS without the need for custom coding
WavestoreUSA will participate in Secured Cities and ISC East this month

WavestoreUSA, a provider of professional digital video and audio recording solutions for professional surveillance applications, announces the release of Version 5.40 of its cost-effective, user-friendly video management software, a platform that delivers more flexibility and systems functionality. As with previous versions of WavestoreUSA VMS, enhancements have been made to ensure V5.40 is the most intuitive VMS available in today’s market.

Version 5.40 supports up to 128 cameras per server, 32 of which can be analogue, providing a strong option for those customers who are migrating from analogue to IP. V5.40 also provides customers the ability to group servers together — allowing cameras to be grouped for ease of management and configuration. These types of server groups are especially helpful for customers with larger surveillance networks of 128 cameras or more because it delivers savings in both programming and licensing costs.

V5.40 also includes WaveSTAR, which allows installers to integrate third-party systems with WavestoreUSA’s VMS without the need for custom coding. The software’s built-in translator function allows installers to decode a TCP, HTTP or UDP message from a third-party system into EVENTXX. Now, virtually any camera or device that can send such messages can be translated and supported by V5.40. This enables end users to view live events, and intelligently record and search them at a later date — even incidences of video loss, tampering and times of heavy motion.

V5.40 easily integrates with industry-leading camera systems, including those that have advanced analytical functions, such as people counting, trip wire and exclusion zones. It can be programmed to send and receive specific messages upon certain events. For example, end users in the retail industry can integrate V5.40 with POS software or exception reporting systems, while those in healthcare can merge the software with RFID inventory management systems.

“Not only does V5.40 include unique features such as WaveSTAR, but it also incorporates WavestoreUSA’s unique dewarping function"

“Not only does V5.40 include unique features such as WaveSTAR, but it also incorporates WavestoreUSA’s unique dewarping function that enables users to optimise live and recorded views of 360-degree fisheye surveillance cameras,” said Mike Scirica, Vice President of Marketing and Sales, WavestoreUSA. “The newest version of our VMS platform is a testimony to WavestoreUSA’s continued focus to engineer innovative surveillance solutions that simplify security and adds unique value to our customers.”

The company’s complete line of hardware solutions include hybrid and network video recorders for a variety of markets and applications. All WavestoreUSA solutions are camera-agnostic, based on open standards, are assembled in the United States, and deliver the utmost in ease of management and use.
