A centralised database management for time-attendance using a biometric system was the major requirement of the company when they approached Matrix. Additionally, they wanted a system which can automatically distribute fingerprint images to all their 120 offices in India. It also wanted employees to be able to apply for leave/tour from anywhere, and on receipt of any such application the authorising person should get an email notification. In addition, the company also wanted to manage the attendance of those field staff who mark their “in” punch at one location and “out” punch from a different location.
