Business challenge

GRUH Finance corporate HR used to obtain attendance details of each employee from all branches. Every month it was a herculean task for HR in making note of late marks of the employees. At times HR also observed that attendance data were counterfeited but still company had to pay for it.

GRUH Finance wanted to streamline time-attendance policies for their employees across all branches. A centralised database management for time-attendance using a biometric system was the major requirement of the company when they approached Matrix. Additionally, they wanted a system which can automatically distribute fingerprint images to all their 120 offices in India. It also wanted employees to be able to apply for leave/tour from anywhere, and on receipt of any such application the authorising person should get an email notification. In addition, the company also wanted to manage the attendance of those field staff who mark their “in” punch at one location and “out” punch from a different location.

The central server is installed at head office and can be utilised as a system to automatically distribute fingerprint images to all the locations. Time-Attendance software is installed to use enhanced time-attendance and leave management features.

The biometric fingerprint based access control and time-attendance device is installed at head office and biometric fingerprint based time-attendance terminals are installed at each branch to mark attendance of employees. Attendance of each employee can be marked accurately from any location as all the terminals are interconnected with each other and with central server through VPN network.
