Checkpoint Systems – a pioneer in RFID and RF technology solutions – is unveiling its newest high-performance RF Electronic Article Surveillance (EAS) system, the patent pending NS45 Antenna – the first of its kind to offer retailers an almost invisible loss-prevention solution at the checkout.

Following the successful release of the now award-winning NS40/42 antenna, the NS45 is the latest EAS solution added to the NEO family, providing extremely high detection rates within the most modest and adaptable model so far.

Loss-prevention solution

Designed with seamless integrability in mind, the antenna device is not fixed to the floor but incorporated directly onto checkout desks, meaning it can be added to any store infrastructure and layout. Its discreet yet deterrent solution allows faster action to be taken in the event of theft and increases the responsiveness of security personnel.

Key features of the NS45 range are:

  • Discrete and integrable design.
  • No interference between the consumer and the merchandise.
  • Easy to reconfigure and adapt to changing layouts.
  • Wireless connectivity between systems.
  • 360 detection coverage technology.

Maximising business revenues

Commenting on the launch of the NS45, Nimesh Shah, Global Product Manager for RF/EAS Hardware, said: “Checkpoint Systems works closely with checkout manufacturers to integrate the patent pending NS45, and by doing so we are providing a solution that is threefold: Significantly improve the shopper experience, help to maximise business revenues, and offer flexibility to adapt the tech to their store layouts.”

He adds, “We know that no two customers have the same needs, so with the addition of the NS45 to our portfolio, we’re now providing more options in our best-in-class EAS solutions. It is important that retailers benefit from technology that responds to the ever-evolving market and the new challenges that come with it, while having peace of mind that they and their business’ bottom line are protected.”

Ever-evolving market

NS45 is available in black or white, but the NS45 can be customised to the visual identity of any store. The LED lights and audio files can also be configured according to the customer's needs.

NS45 will be unveiled at EuroShop 2023 in Dusseldorf, Germany, from 26 February to 2 March, and will be highlighted alongside a versatile array of EAS and RFID solutions. Visitors will have the opportunity to try and test the system on the model checkout desk at Hall 6, Booth E23.
