Bosch now offers its customers free Dynamic DNS service, which allows access to network-connected devices without costly static IP addresses |
Bosch Security Systems, Inc. has partnered with No-IP, a managed Domain Name System (DNS) service provider, to make it easier for customers to have consistent and reliable remote access to the DIVAR AN 3000 and 5000 family of digital recorders. Through the partnership, Bosch now offers its customers free Dynamic DNS service, which allows access to network-connected devices via a hostname without the need for costly static IP addresses.
Uninterrupted access to DIVAR AN 3000 & 5000
Internet Service Providers (ISP) frequently change IP addresses for their equipment, which can disrupt remote access to devices like the DIVAR AN 3000 and 5000 recorders. With Dynamic DNS, the IP addresses for ISP equipment, such as cable or DSL modems, are continuously monitored. When they change, No-IP is notified to map the user’s hostname to the new IP address. By offering free Dynamic DNS service, Bosch makes it easier for customers to have uninterrupted access to important video from DIVAR AN 3000 and 5000 recorders regardless of their location.
The DIVAR AN 3000 and 5000 family of four-, eight- and 16-channel recorders deliver the full benefits of 960H cameras. DIVAR can capture and display images in full 960H resolution at rates up to 30 frames per second on all channels. Customers can view images using the included client software, a web browser or apps compatible with a range of mobile devices.
