Boon Edam Inc., a global pioneer in security entrances and architectural revolving doors, is debuting the new Winglock Swing Access Gate with enhanced product features at the ISC West, March 29-31 in Las Vegas.

The next-generation Winglock Swing solution will complement Boon Edam’s line of optical turnstiles.

Traffic management solutions

As buildings get larger and throughput increases, the need for better, safer traffic management solutions also increase,” said Kurt Measom, Vice President of Product and Technology, Boon Edam.

That is why we built the new Winlock Swing, to accommodate large objects, groups of people, and disabled access in a way that is unobtrusive and complies with the latest safety standards.”

Winglock Swing covers

Winglock Swing is elegant, easy to use, and unobtrusive in nature and design

The newly expanded range of dimensions for the Winglock Swing covers a passage of 3 feet at a height of just under 6 feet. This is ideal to accompany Boon Edam Lifeline Speedlanes with high glass panels.

Constructed from stainless steel and a single glass panel, the new Winglock Swing is elegant, easy to use, and unobtrusive in nature and design.

ISO EN17352 Safety Standard

In addition to increased dimensions, the new Winglock Swing utilises a new, synchronous movement to ensure that one panel is closed before the other panel reaches the closed position. This avoids pinching and allows the block detection to function as a standard door leaf.

With this new capability, the Winglock Swing becomes the first in Boon Edam’s product line to comply with the upcoming ISO EN17352 Safety Standard, a supporting standard to comply with the CE Machine Directive.

Smart, intuitive technology

The Winglock Swing pairs beautifully with Boon Edam’s Lifeline Series of optical turnstiles as the wide lane access gate allows for disabled access or large deliveries and carts. The Winglock Swing has further been designed to manage bi-directional traffic with effortless ease, using smart, intuitive technology to guide each visitor through to their destination without delay or inconvenience.

Throughout the process, an array of proven and clear light signals indicate actions, such as in-use, authorised, not authorised, closing, and standby, to guide visitors in an aesthetically pleasing manner.
