Royal Boon Edam International is proud to announce that the Circlelock security locker is celebrating its 35th anniversary in 2019.

Since entering the market in 1984, demand for this custom entry solution has continued to grow steadily in several important segments, including data centres, government and military, and commercial facilities.

Principle of multi-factor authentication

The Circlelock security booth owes its longevity to the principle of multi-factor authentication, which ensures that only one person can enter the protected area. The gateway integrates with any access control system, and a biometric identification device can be installed on a special column inside the cabin.

In this case, the user first provides their credentials to get into the cabin (inside which it checks that only one person has entered), after which the user presents his face, retina, fingerprint, or hand to confirm his identity and open a second door.

Advanced intrusion prevention technology

Circlelock Security Gateway combines premium build quality with an intelligent StereoVision system

The Circlelock Security Gateway combines premium build quality with an intelligent, state-of-the-art in-ceiling StereoVision system based on optical technology and near-infrared sensors.

When the user enters the gateway, StereoVision scans the booth and checks that there is only one person in it, after which it lets the visitor into the protected area. This technology has been improved over decades and today can work stably in any lighting conditions.

Accurate and flexible

Its reliable performance over the years has proven that the StereoVision system is the most accurate way to prevent unauthorised access to a secure area.

The system can be flexibly configured depending on the situation, which allows you to achieve the optimal balance between tolerances and failures.

Easier than traditional vestibules

Unlike traditional corridor locks, Boon Edam's Circlelock security locker is a fully tested and ready-to-use solution that can be installed in a few days. It does not require additional sensors or video cameras, as well as constant checks for dead zones.

In addition, the integrated hardware and software allow the Circlelock Security Gateway Cabin to provide reliable protection without the constant supervision of security personnel, resulting in a fast return on investment.

The intuitiveness of use, safety, and comfort

Security lockers must provide reliable protection, but the intuitiveness of use, safety, and comfort for the user is important"

Another popular option is the use of puncture-resistant or bullet-resistant glass for the rounded doors and cabin walls, which allows users to further increase the level of security of the entrance solution.

“Over the past few years, we have seen an increasing interest in the use of this product. First of all, security lockers must provide reliable protection, but the intuitiveness of use, safety, and comfort for the user is becoming more and more important,” says Dirk Gruth, Locker Product Manager at Royal Boon Edam International BV.

Intelligent and automated solutions

In the future, we expect that the authentication process will shift towards contactless biometric systems. Their integration into the Circlelock security cabin guarantees fast access to the protected area without any delays.”

Currently, the Circlelock Security Gateway satisfies the industry's growing need for intelligent and automated solutions that guarantee the highest level of physical security and collect accurate data for business intelligence, forensics, and predictive analytics.
