ATK features thumbturn element that incorporates Avocet’s new click secure system
Avocet ATK locks provide the ultimate protection in the fight against lock-snapping

Leading window, door and conservatory supplier, Emplas has agreed to exclusively fit Avocet ATK locks on all of its composite doors.

Northamptonshire-based Emplas opted to make the switch in order to ensure its customer base was being supplied with the best possible snap-secure lock.

Glyn Roberts, head of purchasing for Emplas, said: “We have a well-earned reputation for excellence, both in terms of product innovation and customer service, and as soon as we saw ATK in action we knew that if we didn’t add it to our offering we wouldn’t be living up to it. It is undoubtedly the best snap-secure lock for composite doors on the market.”

Complete protection in fight against lock-snapping

Developed to assist companies seeking to adjust to the implementation of Document Q of the Building Regulations, ATK provides the ultimate protection in the fight against lock-snapping. It is currently the only Euro-cylinder for composite doors that carries the Master Locksmith Association’s highest rating – SS312 Sold Secure Diamond accreditation –, a British Kitemark TS007 3-star rating and Secured by Design accreditations.

ATK also features a thumbturn element that incorporates Avocet’s new click secure system, which makes use of a positive click turn action that means it can’t be bypassed with the wire tools that make a great deal of other thumbturns a major security risk. Additionally, its use of a standard key allows all leading locksmiths to produce them quickly and easily, and without recourse to end-user registration.

Chris Evans, Avocet’s national account manager, added: “ATK was gaining real momentum during the back end of 2015, and to kick-off the new year with such a significant contract win suggest 2016 will see the product go from strength to strength.”
