ASSA ABLOY Global Solutions – Critical Infrastructure (booth 8101) will showcase its robust ALWIN security management software, as part of a total access management solution for critical infrastructure customers in the U.S. at ISC West.

The annual ISC West conference takes place from March 29-31 in Las Vegas.

ALWIN security management software

ALWIN is a modular, scalable, and flexible software solution for critical infrastructure protection, designed to monitor and protect security-challenged sites against intrusions.

It includes supervision software organised into several modules for systems integrators to customise for their unique customer applications, including access control, CCTV, intruder alarm, visitor management, and key management.

Security monitoring

ALWIN is a unique software platform that brings the full range of our ASSA ABLOY security locks to bring real-time visibility"

Jerry Burhans, Managing Director for AAGS – Critical Infrastructure, says this is especially important for monitoring a range of security hardware, perimeter systems, and intrusion detection devices, as well as managing access rights in distant sites across different states and time zones.

ALWIN is a unique software platform that brings the full range of our ASSA ABLOY security locks, ABLOY® PROTEC2 padlocks and cylinders, CLIQ access software, and ABLOY® BEAT keyless Bluetooth® devices together with video management and intrusion detection to bring real-time visibility and access management to these critical infrastructure sites,” explained Jerry Burhans.

Full visibility

ASSA ABLOY Global Solutions announced that France-based ALCEA, developer of ALWIN software, was merged into its Critical Infrastructure business in 2022.

Jerry Burhans adds, “Having this in our U.S. portfolio fills a needed gap because now it gives facility managers and systems integrators a whole system, software, and security hardware together allowing full visibility of critical site equipment and situational awareness. Several technologies, systems, or protocols can be upgraded together, on both new and existing installations.”

NERC/CIP compliance

Jerry Burhans states that as customers deploy more and more edge devices within their infrastructure, all of which require audit trail, NERC/CIP compliance, and status updates, they need a scalable top-line solution capable of integrating into the enterprise access management systems they install in their facilities.

He said, “That’s why ALWIN integrates or interfaces with more than 100 leading technology manufacturers of access devices, readers, and video systems. You can connect with what you want. And we are proud to be good partners with all of these popular brands in the industry."

Seamless capabilities

We are transforming ourselves from a locking device solution into a full solution provider for critical infrastructure customers,” sums up Jerry Burhans, adding “Having ALWIN is a big step into a connected future where we can help manage our customers’ entire security and access ecosystem with seamless, third-party integration capabilities.”
