Overall, 2015 has yielded positive results across the professional security industry due to the global demand for enhanced and expanded security in response to greater risks and threats. Over the past year, Altronix has participated in the industry’s growth with new technology offerings and an expanded reseller channel. The need to effectively respond to system trouble and remotely manage devices has become increasingly important to maintain security around the clock.

More large technology giants to enter

Looking ahead to 2016, we should expect that more of the large technology giants known outside of our industry will enter the professional security market as the trend towards networking and more advanced integration continues to gain traction. There’s no question that products designed with connectivity for advanced integration will also continue to gain traction and market share. Customers are helping to drive this trend as they require more features to be available at their fingertips in real time and from anywhere, with more data points, analytics and metrics. As a result, smarter devices will be in demand to support new system models with better form and functionality.

We have recently embraced the integration of video and access control as a better means of tracking activities and for forensic investigations. Therefore it is critical for the core power and transmission infrastructure that drives these systems to be fully integrated on the network platform.

It’s apparent from current events that the management of security at private, public and government facilities around the world must increase their levels of protection.

This will directly impact our industry and provide new business opportunities. The continued deployment of the latest security technology and the refinement of existing systems will be both challenging and rewarding. Our landscape will surely continue to change in coming years.
