Antaira Technologies is a global leading developer and manufacturer of industrial device networking and communication product solutions for harsh environment applications and is proud to announce its expansion in the industrial networking infrastructure family with the LMX-1002C-SFP series.

Antaira Technologies’ LMX-1002C-SFP series is a cost effective 10-port industrial gigabit managed Ethernet switch, that supports a 12~48VDC power input range. Each unit is designed with eight 10/100Tx Fast Ethernet RJ45 ports and two gigabit combo ports (2*10/100/1000Tx RJ45 or 2*100/1000 dual rate SFP slots for fibre). The combo ports provide flexibility to users for a network uplink by being able to use 100Mb, Gigabit Fast Ethernet or fibre-optics (when doing network distance expansion). This product series provides high EFT, surge (2,000VDC) and ESD (6,000VDC) protection. These units are built to have a dual power input design with a reverse polarity protection. The LMX-1002C-SFP series also includes a built-in relay warning function to alert maintainers when any ports break or power failures occur. This makes it ideal for applications in a harsh environment requiring high reliability and distance extension capability.

Antaira’s new LMX-1002C-SFP industrial gigabit managed Ethernet switch series has been designed to fulfil industrial automation applications in harsh or outdoor environments. Some of these harsh environments include: power/utility, solar grids, windmills, oil/gas platforms, mining infrastructures, factory or process control automation, ITS - roadway traffic control or monitoring, building facility infrastructures, security surveillance and access control systems.

Advanced network filtering and security functions

This product series is pre-loaded with “Layer 2” network management software, of which, it supports the ease of use Web Console or Telnet using a serial console by CLI configuration. All Antaira managed switches provide the ring network redundancy function with STP/RSTP/MSTP and the ITU-T G.8032 (ERPS – Ethernet Ring Protection Switch) protocol which supports a <50ms network recovery time, eliminating the compatibility issue for any present networking concerns. The advanced network filtering and security functions, IGMP, VLAN, QoS, SNMP, Port lock, RMON, Modbus TCP and 802.1X/HTTPS/SSH/SSL increase determinism and improve network management for remote SCADA systems or control network. Lastly, the flexible “custom label” feature allows networking planners to name each connection port.

The LMX-1002C-SFP series is backed by a 5-year warranty and the units are IP30 rated, compact, fanless, and DIN-Rail/wall mountable. Each unit is built to withstand industrial networking hazards like shock, drop, vibration, electromagnetic interference (EMI) and extreme temperatures. There are two operating temperature version models for either standard temperature (-10 ~ 70°C) or extended temperature (-40 ~ 75°C). Each unit has the dimensions of 46mm (W) x 99mm (D) x 142mm (H) and a unit weight that is less than 2 pounds.
