AMG Systems of the UK and USA opened a new office, manufacturing, and warehouse facility in Trumbull, CT to satisfy the growing demand for AMG transmission products with their recent entry into the US Market. The new office, located at 62 Spring Hill Road, in Trumbull, CT will be the base for North American operations and joins Castleford and Biggleswade in the UK as AMG facilities.

This facility will be used for the North American Research and Product Development Team, warehouse, shipping operations, professional services, and the Americas AMG Tech Support and Customer Care teams. In addition, meeting rooms and training facilities for customers and prospects will be available in these Trumbull offices.

Demand for AMG products

The benefit to AMG North American customers of having AMG products in a stateside location

We knew from our market research that there was a gap in transmission product availability in the US. Due to that overwhelming demand for AMG transmission products, the need to warehouse and ship from a North American location became paramount, and the benefit to AMG North American customers of having AMG products in a stateside location and Tech Support available at normal business hours is immeasurable,” said Steve Clarke, AMG Managing Director.

He adds. “Our initial plan is still to do most of AMG manufacturing in our ISO 9001-certified UK facilities and establish sustainable stock levels in the Trumbull facility to meet the demand we’re creating. Our plans include manufacturing in the Trumbull facility and this building has given us the option of more space when that time comes."

ISO 9001 business protocols

Our plan is to be fully operational by September 1, 2023. We’re in the process of altering the building to meet our needs and get our inventory control programmes in place to efficiently take inventory in and quickly move products out to meet the time requirements of our North American customers,” said Stephen Kummik, AMG Operations Director.

He adds, “We’ll continue the ISO 9001 business protocols established in our UK facilities to ensure we continue the quality standards AMG is known for.”

AMG Systems offers an extensive line of fibre optic, copper, and wireless ethernet, video, and data transmission equipment that is uniquely designed to meet the needs of the security, intelligent transportation systems, utility, and industrial markets.
